Cricket World Cup 2007 - Matches!
Before the league matches of the tournament all 16 nations that are taking part in the 2007 ICC World Cup will play in a series of warm-up matches in order for the teams to fully acclimatise to the conditions of playing cricket in the West Indies before the main tournament gets underway. The warm-up matches will not be classed as One-day Internationals. The matches will be played from Monday 5 March until Friday 9 March.

After the warm-up matches, the Group Stage matches of the 2007 ICC Cricket World Cup will be played from Tuesday 13 March until Tuesday 27 March. There will be a total of 24 matches played in the group stage. All matches in the group stage will have one reserve day for the day after the scheduled day of the match in the event of bad weather.

The top two teams in each group will proceed to the "Super 8" stage. This will also use a league system. Each team will carry forward its result against the qualifying team from its own preliminary stage group, and will play the other six qualifying teams once each. The top four teams in the league will qualify for the semi-finals. This system has been modified since the last World Cup, which had a "Super 6" stage rather than a Super 8. The Super 8 stage matches will be played from Wednesday 28 March until Saturday 21 April. A total of 24 matches will be played in the Super 8 stage. All matches will have one reserve day for the day after the scheduled day of the match in the event of bad weather.

The top four teams in the "Super 8" will proceed to the Semi-Finals. This is the knockout stage, with the #1 team playing the #4 team, and the #2 team playing the #3 team in the tournament. The winners of each game proceed into the Final. Both matches have one reserve day for the day after the scheduled day of the matches in the event of bad weather.

The final will have one reserve day for the day after the scheduled day of the match in the event of bad weather.
